Annual traditions, community gatherings, and everything worth putting on your summer calendar.
The annual lakeside garage sale weekend kicks off the season. Deals all around the lake and throughout the neighborhood — furniture, gear, collectibles, and plenty of things you didn’t know you needed. Get out early and see what your neighbors have been holding onto.
The annual spring gathering for all Westler Lake Association members. We’ll cover lake updates, the 2026 event calendar, open board discussion, and anything else members bring to the table. It’s a great chance to connect with neighbors before the season gets into full swing.
There’s no better seat in LaGrange County for fireworks than right here on the water. The whole lake comes alive on the Fourth — bring the family, find your spot before dark, and enjoy one of those summer nights that everyone ends up talking about for the rest of the year.
The fireworks rotate among the Indian Lakes Chain each year. In 2026, the show is on Dallas Lake.
One of the most beloved summer traditions on the lake. Neighbors gather at the point for an evening of food, drinks, and good company. Final date to be confirmed — stay tuned.
The biggest day on the lake. Boats make the full circuit, stopping at each station to draw a card. Best poker hand at the end wins, but by mid-afternoon nobody’s keeping very careful score. The whole community turns out. There’s food, cold drinks, and enough lakeside conversation to last you until next July.
This year marks the 19th Annual Poker Run. Nearly two decades of the same ridiculous, wonderful tradition, and it keeps getting better.
Knee-deep in lake muck and loving every second of it. Muckfest is the kind of event that’s impossible to explain without sounding unhinged, and impossible to skip once you’ve been. Kids, adults, anyone who’s still got some summer mischief in them.
Nobody goes home clean. That’s the whole point. First-timers always say the same thing afterward: “Okay, that was actually amazing.” We know. We’ve been saying it for years. This year, the Hubie Ashcraft Band will be performing from 2:00–5:00 PM.
Event dates and details are confirmed each season. Sign up to receive updates by email, or reach out and we’ll add you to the association mailing list.
